West Bengal Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya presented the budget in the assembly on February 15. In this budget, the Finance Minister had announced that the government would give 3 percent additional DA to its employees, including teachers and pensioners, from the month of March.

Till now the state was giving 3 per cent DA to the employees as basic pay. But after the announcement of the budget, in addition to this basic salary, the state government will pay 3 percent additional DA to the employees of the state.
