Abhishek Bachchan: There have been reports about Abhishek Bachchan for the past several days that he will enter politics. Will join Samajwadi Party and will contest from Allahabad constituency like his father Amitabh Bachchan. However, an English website has put all these speculations to rest. Someone close to Abhishek has called these news fake and said that Abhishek Bachchan will not do politics.
It was being said in some media reports that Abhishek Bachchan would follow the footsteps of his star parents Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan and would soon step into politics. It was also being said that Abhishek would join Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party. He will contest from Allahabad constituency just like his father. An English website says that when a source was talked about this, he said that ‘this is completely false’. With this, it has now been confirmed that these speculations and news are false. There is no truth in these stories.

If reports are to be believed, Abhishek Bachchan had given an interview in the year 2013, in which he talked about a career in politics. He had said, “My parents have been in politics, but I don’t see myself doing that. I may play a politician on screen, but in real life it’s a big deal. I will not come.”
