Garuvayur Temple, Kerala

Guruvayur Temple, popularly known as Dwarka Temple, is located in the state of Kerala in South India. Guruvayoor Temple is one of the famous temples of South India. This temple is also known as Bhuloka Baikuntha. According to the Puranas, Bhuloka Vaikuntha is the most sacred place of Lord Vishnu. In this temple, Krishna resides in his child form, known as Guruvayuruppan.

It is said that when there was a flood in Dwarka (Gujarat), the idol of Lord Krishna was washed away in the flow of water. When Guru Brihaspati saw the idol floating away, he took out the idol and started searching for a place to reinstall it. Finding a solution to this problem, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati asked Guru Brihaspati to install the idol in Kerala. Following this order, Guru Brihaspati, taking the help of Vayu Dev, installed the idol of Krishna in Kerala.

Sri Krishna Math Temple Udupi, Karnataka

Sri Krishna Matha Temple is located in Udupi, Karnataka, South India. In this temple of Shri Krishna Math, Lord Krishna is worshiped through nine holes in the window. The reflection of this temple made of wood and stone is visible in the pond located near the temple. A huge event is organized here on the special occasion of Janmashtami.

Jagannath Puri is one of the Char Dhams of India. This temple is present in Puri, Odisha. Lord Krishna resides in this temple with his elder brother Balram and sister Subhadra. It is said that after Dwapar, Lord Krishna started residing in Puri, Orissa. Rath Yatra of Jagannath Puri is famous all over the world.
