Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue Update: Rescue operation is going on continuously to save 41 laborers in Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. The rescue team is working on six plans to dig the tunnel. So that the workers can be taken out of the tunnel. However, till now no one has the answer to the question as to when the workers will be able to come out of the tunnel. The workers are stranded here since November 12. Now manual digging work is going on to save them.

According to the information, the rescue team has started vertical drilling in the hill above the tunnel. Which reached about 20 meters on the first day. If reports are to be believed, about 86 meters of excavation has to be done with the help of vertical drilling. The excavation work continued at a rapid pace till Sunday evening. Which had been excavated up to about 19.5 meters. Mahmood Ahmed, Managing Director of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), says that if there is no obstacle in the excavation, then the vertical boring is expected to be completed by Thursday. As the excavation continues, a rescue route is being prepared. For this, 700 mm wide pipes are being inserted. At a short distance, a thin 200-mm pipe is being pushed in. It is about 70 meter has been reached.
