Uniform Civil Code: The draft of the Uniform Civil Code has been prepared in Uttarakhand. Let us tell you that the BJP had made a promise on February 12, 2022, the last day of the campaign during the assembly elections last year. In the promise, the BJP had said that the party would implement the Uniform Civil Code after coming back to power in the state. In the elections, the people of Uttarakhand gave the party a chance to form the government for the second time in a row. On this matter, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami says that he is going to fulfill the promise made to the public. Chief Minister Dhami has visited Delhi for the first time after the Uniform Civil Code was drafted.

After reaching Delhi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this, many issues including Uniform Civil Code were discussed between PM Modi and CM Dhami. Dhami presented a picture of Baba Neem Karauli and rice from Uttarakhand to PM Modi. CM Dhami described the meeting with the Prime Minister as meaningful. He said that PM Modi has assured to provide assistance to the affected people in Joshimath.

Meeting with Finance Minister and Defense Minister

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami informed PM Modi about Chardham Yatra during the meeting. He told that so far 34 lakh pilgrims have performed the yatra. Apart from this, he met several Union Ministers and raised the issue of development of the state. On Saturday, Chief Minister Dhami had met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. After this, on Monday, he requested Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to give Rs 1774 crore to the Uttarakhand government for the Saong Dam drinking water project.
