Baba Tarsem Singh Shot Dead: Sensational news has come out from Uttarakhand. Here, Kar Seva head Baba Tarsem Singh was shot dead at Nanakmatta Sahib Gurudwara in Udham Singh Nagar district. The incident took place at 6:30 in the morning. The attackers riding on two bikes fired indiscriminately at Baba Tarsem Singh inside the camp. Singh was taken to a hospital in Khatima, where he was declared dead. There is tension in the area after this incident.
Udham Singh Nagar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manjunath TC has reached the spot to take stock of the situation. Heavy police force has been deployed at the hospital and Nanakmatta. The search for the absconding attackers has been intensified. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
Baba Tarsem was shot three times, attackers seen in CCTV
It is feared that the attackers had made full proof arrangements to kill Baba Tarsem Singh. As per planning, they reached the camp in the morning, shot him and ran away. Baba Tarsem Singh was hit by three bullets. A bullet has passed through the stomach.
The police have examined the CCTV footage. The killers are wearing turbans. One person’s turban is white while the other attacker’s turban is black. One is wearing jeans and the other is wearing lower. A blue colored bag is also tied behind the bike.

SIT formed to investigate the incident
Uttarakhand Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar said that we received information about the murder of Baba Tarsem Singh around 7 am. It was reported that between 6:15-6:30 am, two masked attackers entered the Nanakmatta Gurudwara and shot Kara Seva head Baba Tarsem Singh. He was taken to Khatima Hospital. But he died. This is a very serious matter. Senior officials have reached the spot. SSP is already present there. DIG Kumaon is also reaching there. He will inspect the incident site and talk to the local people. He will try to assess the situation there.
The police headquarters has formed a SIT to investigate the incident. STF and local police officers will be involved in this. STF has been asked to keep this as its top priority. And orders have been given to investigate all the angles minutely. We not only have to identify the attackers but also uncover the larger conspiracy, if any, behind this murder. We have also contacted central agencies to share useful information related to this matter with us. I assure you that we will resolve this matter soon and take strict action.
Uttarakhand’s Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) AP Anshuman said that the law and order situation in the area is normal.

Nanakmatta Gurudwara is also known as Nanakmatta Sahib. It is a Sikh pilgrimage site and holds important historical and religious significance for Sikhs. Baba Tarsem Singh had deep influence in both power and opposition.
