Making a major change in the syllabus, the UP government has banned the students from teaching the history of the Mughals. History of Mughals will not be taught to the students in the 12th class of UP Board and CBSE Board. After this new decision of the Yogi government, there has been a big change in the intermediate syllabus. History of Mughals will not be taught to the students from the session 2023-24. The chapter related to Mughals will be removed from the syllabus.

Removed these chapters from the syllabus

According to media reports, NCERT has made major changes in the 12th syllabus for the session 2023-24. NCERT has removed some chapters of the history book running in Intermediate. In this, the ruler and the history of the Mughal court have been removed. Apart from this, the board has also removed the lessons on the rise of Islam, clash of cultures, industrial revolution and beginning of time from the Class 11 history book. At the same time, the lesson of American supremacy and cold war has been removed from the civics book. Apart from this, the board has also made changes in the book of Polity. The era of one party dominance and the rise of mass movements have been omitted from the book of politics. Lessons on Democracy and Diversity, People’s Struggles and Movements, Challenges to Democracy have been removed from Class 10th book Democratic Politics 2.

According to the new syllabus, books are also available in the market.

Regarding the change in syllabus, UP Board Secretary Divyakant Shukla has said that NCERT has made a big change in the next session. He said that the subject-wise revised syllabus links have been made available on the Board’s website. Books are also available in the market according to the new syllabus.
