The results of the Uttar Pradesh civic elections (UP Nikay Chunav) have come. The saffron flag is visible from Gorakhpur to Ghaziabad. The BJP has won in all the 17 municipal corporations of the state. This is the third time when CM Yogi (CM Yogi Adityanath) has proved himself. Earlier, Yogi has proved himself a successful leader and efficient administrator in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, 2022 assembly elections and now in 2023 municipal elections.
As soon as the civic elections were announced, CM Yogi Adityanath had decided that this election would be seen as the semi-final of the next year’s Lok Sabha elections. The party went ahead with the target of winning all the 17 seats in the Municipal Corporation. The results that are coming out now are proving that the public likes Yogi’s work. The results of municipal elections have stamped Yogi’s development model. The BJP has won majorly on 17 municipal corporation seats in the state, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Firozabad, Saharanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Aligarh, Agra and Mathura-Vrindavan. . This proves that the people of Uttar Pradesh reposed faith in the promises of CM Yogi.

AAP’s sweep in Azam’s stronghold
SP leader Azam Khan has suffered a major setback in the Rampur municipality elections. Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Sana Khanam has won the Rampur seat by defeating SP candidate Fatma Jabin. Sana Khanam got a total of 43,115 votes for the post of Municipality President of Rampur.
BJP mayors won in Ayodhya, Jhansi and Saharanpur
Counting of votes is going on for 17 municipal corporation seats in Uttar Pradesh. In these, the BJP has captured Ayodhya, Jhansi and Saharanpur seats.
AIIM did a big upset in Meerut
Mohammad Anas, the candidate of Owaisi’s party, is leading on the Mayor seat of Meerut. BJP’s Harikant Ahluwalia is running on the second number and SP’s Seema Pradhan is on the third.
AAP opened account on many municipal seats
The result of UP civic elections 2023 is also proving beneficial for the Aam Aadmi Party this time. Party candidates have won many seats in Firozabad, Badaun, Bulandshahr and Kaushambi districts of the state.
BJP ahead on the post of Mayor of Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Varanasi
The Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in the mayoral posts of Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Varanasi. BSP candidate is leading on the post of Mayor in Saharanpur.
SP is leading in Basti and BSP is leading in Hamirpur
Saeed Ahmed of Samajwadi Party is leading in Babhnan Nagar Panchayat of Basti district. On the other hand, BSP is ahead on the post of Maudha President of Hamirpur Municipality.
BJP candidate behind in Kanpur
BJP’s Pramila Pandey has been left behind by Congress’s Ashni Awasthi in Kanpur Municipal Corporation’s mayoral election. The SP candidate is running on the second number.
BJP candidate ahead in Mathura
BJP candidate Vinod Agarwal is leading in counting of postal ballot paper for the post of Mayor of Mathura Municipal Corporation and Congress candidate is in second place. While in the counting of votes for the Mayor of Shahjahanpur Metropolitan, so far BJP has got 87 votes, SP 12 and BSP one vote.
