DFO Vikas Yadav had received information about this matter from Wildlife Control Bureau Delhi. In which it was told that a large number of parrots are being smuggled from Gorakhpur forest area. The smugglers are going to take them to Bihar through private vehicles. As soon as the information was received, the joint team of Forest Officer Harendra Singh and STF Deputy SP Pramesh Kumar Shukla laid siege in Tinkoniya range. During this time a Bolero vehicle was caught. During the search, two mobile phones, one key pad and Rs 13,300 were also recovered from the accused.

According to Deputy Forest Officer Harendra Singh, the smugglers told that they have been doing this business for 7-8 years. In which banned parrots were caught from Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Balrampur and Madhya Pradesh. The main smuggler Raees has already gone to jail several times for smuggling.
