According to the information, in 14 streets of Gautam Nagar of Meerut, during Navratri fast on Thursday, people found it difficult to eat food made of buckwheat flour. The condition of more than a hundred people, including children, in different families of the area became critical after eating foods made from buckwheat flour. During this, the sick people were immediately admitted to the hospital, where the condition of many people is said to be critical.
Police was informed in this regard, after which the Food Inspector reached the spot and started investigating the matter. At the same time, the police have also taken a shopkeeper into custody in the case. The police is questioning the shopkeeper in this matter. Along with this, the Food Inspector reached the spot and sent samples of flour from the shops from where the flour was purchased for examination. At the same time, after this incident, panic has spread in many areas of Meerut.
According to media reports, dozens of people and children fell ill in Meerut’s Gautam Nagar and Ganeshpuri after consuming food items made from poisonous buckwheat flour. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
