Flood-like conditions have started forming in Prayagraj and water has entered the city in Agra. In view of the rising water level in Prayagraj, the district administration has come into action mode. In view of the dangers of possible floods, all the departments are already on alert mode. To deal with floods, 108 flood posts and 12 relief camps have been set up. At the same time, the medical team and boat-ambulance have also been asked to remain alert.

At present, normal rainfall has been recorded in Prayagraj and its surrounding districts. However, due to the flood water coming from Uttarakhand and neighboring states into the Ganga and Yamuna River, the water level of the rivers here is increasing rapidly. According to media reports, at present, an increase in water is being recorded in both the rivers at the rate of 1.5 cm per hour.
Ganges water level rising in Bulandshahr as well
An increase in the water level of Ganga is also being seen in Bulandshahr, which is called the main city of Uttar Pradesh. Even in Rajghat, the rivers are in spate and the ghats of Ganga have been submerged. The administration is completely on alert mode regarding this. Ganga is still below the danger mark, but more than 1 dozen temporary flood posts have been constructed on the banks of Ganga.

Yamuna’s water level increased in Agra
