UP Assembly Winter Session: The winter session of Uttar Pradesh Assembly has started from Tuesday i.e. today. The four-day session will continue till December 1. After 65 years, the assembly session has been operated with new rules under the Yogi government. On Monday, Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana held a meeting of the all-party committee. In the all-party meeting, the Speaker of the Assembly urged the members of the ruling party and the opposition not to come to the House just to register their presence but to take part in constructive debate on public issues.

House proceedings begin

The winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly began with condolences on the demise of former state minister and BJP MLA Ashutosh Tandon. CM Yogi Adityanath and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav paid tribute. UP CM Yogi Adityanath said that this is winter session. I appeal to all the members, especially the opposition party leaders, to maintain the dignity of the House. He further said that the government is ready to discuss issues of public welfare and development. The government is ready to answer the questions of the opposition.

Supplementary budget will be presented

Let us tell you that on November 29, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna will present the supplementary budget. About six ordinances will be presented in the House in the form of bills by the state government. Leader of Opposition Akhilesh Yadav will present his views in the House in opposition to the supplementary budget. Members will be allowed to enter the House without mobile phones. Apart from this, carrying flags and banners in the House will also not be allowed. Women members will get special priority to speak during this session.

Opposition wants to become protestor-Siddharth Nath Singh

On the winter session of Uttar Pradesh Assembly starting from today, BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said that the opposition has been sent to the House for discussion. If they want to be protesters, they are welcome. They do not want to raise issues and become protesters. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Brajesh Pathak said that there is a meeting now, after that the session will start. Our government is continuously working for the all-round development of the state.

On December 1, Leader of Opposition Akhilesh Yadav will corner the government on the issues of health infrastructure, poverty, unemployment and law and order. Samajwadi Party leader Manoj Pandey said that the session is so short that considering the problems the state is facing, we will not be able to raise enough issues. Pandey said many departments have not yet utilized a significant portion of their budget and hence there is no point in coming up with supplementary demands. Under the new rules, all eyes will be on how the opposition raises different issues in the Assembly.
