Kanpur businessman murder: A businessman running a roadside quilt mattress shop in Chakeri police station area of Kanpur was murdered by slitting his throat. Seeing the blood-soaked body on Thursday morning, people informed the police, after which they reached the spot, took possession of the body and started investigation. Two youths are suspected.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Shravan Singh said that 55 year old Mohd. Aslam has been murdered. His niece told that a man’s family and servants live near the shop. Both are missing. Two other people used to sleep there with Aslam at night. They also used to eat and drink together.
Asalal hails from Bihar Hajipur
Aslam is originally from Bihar. He was born in Manhar village of Hajipur district. Lived with his family in Jajmau, Kanpur for the last 35 years. Apart from his wife Shakeela, he has four sons Javed, Firoz, Afroz, Chand and daughter Khushboo in his family.
Employees used to sleep together
Shakeela told that he used to do quilt mattress business on the roadside at JK intersection. Two employees named Aslam and Jagdamba also work in the shop. Both the employees used to sleep together at night. We came home at 10 pm on Wednesday. The dead body was found lying in the morning.
Search for associates, will be revealed soon
DCP Shravan Kumar Singh said that investigation has been started after taking possession of the dead body. Both of Aslam are absconding. Search for him is going on. Other points related to the incident are also being investigated. The matter will be revealed as soon as possible.
