Weather Information: For the last few days, the weather pattern has changed in the country. It is raining intermittently in most of the states of North India including the capital Delhi, UP, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab. People have got relief from the heat due to the rains in the early days of May. According to the Meteorological Department, the process of rain will continue in the states of North India for the next few days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for rain in five north Indian states in view of heavy rains in some parts of the country. These states include Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather change comes in the wake of two western disturbances. A cyclonic circulation over Haryana and neighboring South Pakistan and an induced cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan caused a significant drop in mercury. An active Western Disturbance over North India has caused rain and hailstorm over the plains and the hill state of Himachal Pradesh. Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the eastern part of Bihar, Jharkhand to South Karnataka interior region.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the storm, the temperature will remain low across the country. In Delhi-NCR region, Haryana and Punjab, the temperature is expected to be below 9-10 degrees Celsius. After 3-4 days it can increase to 3-5 degree when clouds start appearing. These days, the neighboring states including Punjab and Haryana are experiencing pleasant weather and pleasant weather with a drop in day temperature as well. Chandigarh recorded a drop of around 10 degree Celsius after the weather conditions, which is the lowest in the last 36 years.
