Madhumita Shukla Murder Case: Former minister Amarmani Tripathi and his wife Madhumani Tripathi, convicted in the famous Madhumita Shukla murder case of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, have got a big relief from the Supreme Court. In this 20-year-old murder case, both husband and wife were serving life sentence, which has been abolished by the Supreme Court on 25th August i.e. today.

Madhumita’s sister Nidhi Shukla (Nidhi Shukla) said during a conversation with reporters, “The Yogi government and the governor of the state are being informed about this matter from our side for about 2 weeks. In this regard, we had filed a petition in the Supreme Court, which had also been accepted. This is my fight of 20 years.

Madhumita was shot dead on October 20, 2003 in Lucknow.

It is noteworthy that on October 20, 2003, Madhumita Shukla, a poet living in Nishatganj, Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, was murdered. Due to this massacre, there was a stir in the Mayawati Government of the then BSP. After this, the investigation of this murder case was done by the CBI. The CBI had filed its charge sheet in the court indicting Amarmani Tripathi and his wife Madhumani. Later, the case of this murder case was transferred to Dehradun due to allegations of threatening the witnesses. Both are in jail for almost 20 years. For the time being, the rest of the sentence has been waived because of his age and good conduct.
