Hussain Rizvi was very active in the death penalty case of Mumtaz Qadri, due to which he was removed from the Endowment Department of Punjab. After this, in 2017 he laid the foundation of Tehreek-e-Labbaik party. In January 2017, Khadim Hussain Rizvi took out a rally in Lahore in support of the blasphemy law. During this time he was arrested and the Punjab government put him in the Fourth Schedule, which meant that he could not go anywhere without informing the administration.
