Kanpur Road Accident:In Kanpur on Friday morning, a roadways bus crushed three polytechnic students riding a bicycle. All three friends died on the spot. After the accident, the bus lost control and fell into a roadside pit. Many passengers on the bus have been injured. The passengers have been admitted to the hospital. The tragic accident happened on a culvert near Patara town situated on Kanpur-Sagar Highway. There was commotion for 6 hours after the accident. After much persuasion by the officers, the family agreed and traffic was restored on the highway. The bodies were sent for post-mortem.
After several hours of hard work, the bus was pulled out of the pit.
After the accident, angry villagers blocked the Kanpur-Sagar highway. Villagers say that accidents happen here every day due to collisions with speeding vehicles. There are schools and colleges on the highway. Despite this, there is neither zebra crossing nor breakers. Police reached the spot and pacified the people by giving advice. The dead bodies were taken into custody and sent for postmortem. Please note that the bus was going from Kanpur to Hamirpur. After several hours of hard work, the bus was taken out of the pit with the help of a crane.
