Mukhtar Ansari Death: Mafia don Mukhtar Ansari, who was synonymous with terror in Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh, died in Banda Medical College on Thursday night. When his health deteriorated, he was taken from jail to the medical college, where he died during treatment. After Mukhtar’s death, Alka Rai, wife of late BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai, along with her son Piyush visited Baba Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi.

I used to pray to him for justice and today I have got justice. We never celebrated Holi after the murder of husband Krishnanand Rai. I thought today is Holi for us.

At the same time, Krishnanand Rai’s son Piyush Rai said that I have come to know that he has died in Banda jail. My mother and I have received the blessings of Baba Vishwanath and Baba Gorakhnath. Mukhtar was accused of murdering Krishnanand Rai
In the 2002 assembly elections, Krishnanand Rai contested from Muhammadabad seat on BJP ticket. Mukhtar Ansari’s brother Afzal Ansari was continuously winning from this seat. But Krishnanand Rai defeated him in this election. After this, enmity started between Krishnanand Rai and Mukhtar Ansari.
On 29 November 2005, Krishnanand Rai was to inaugurate a cricket match in Senadi village of Karimuddinpur area. For this, he left the bulletproof car and went in a normal car. While returning home in the evening, his car was fired indiscriminately from all sides with AK 47. 400 rounds were fired at them. 7 people including Krishnananda were killed. 67 bullets were removed from Krishnananda’s body.
