A case of suicide by a priest of a temple has come to light in Ayodhya. The dead body of Ram Shankar Das, a priest of Narsingh temple, was found hanging a few steps away from Raiganj Chowki located in Kotwali area of the city. Before the suicide, the priest had done Facebook live, which became increasingly viral. During the Facebook Live, the priest had made serious allegations against the UP Police and said that the police was torturing him and demanding Rs 2 lakh.
Police accused of harassment for money
The incident of suicide by a priest of the Narasimha temple located in Ayodhya, the city of Lord Rama, has come to the fore. The shocking thing in this case is that the priest had done Facebook live before the suicide, in which he had accused the police of harassment. Priest Ram Shankar Das alleged harassment for money, naming the sub-inspector and a constable of Raiganj police post. He said that Rs 2 lakh is being demanded from me. From where do I get 2 lakh rupees, first my teacher was banished and I was implicated by blaming him. However, the police termed the priest’s allegations as false, saying that he was a drug addict and committed suicide under the influence of drugs. After these allegations of the deceased priest, the police officers have kept silence. At the same time, the body of the dead priest has been taken into custody and sent for postmortem.

According to the information, a few days ago the police had registered a case against Ram Shankar Das in connection with the disappearance of Mahant Ramsharan Das, an old man from the Narasimha temple. However, before committing suicide, the priest said that he was being implicated in the case. According to media reports, at the end of the Facebook Live, priest Shankar Das said that Yogi ji is doing very beautiful development of Ayodhya. He became the next Prime Minister of India. Only after this the priest committed suicide by hanging himself.
