BKU Mahapanchayat: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) has called a Mahapanchayat in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, today i.e. on Monday. This Mahapanchayat is going to be held in Eco Garden, Lucknow. Thousands of male and female workers have started arriving from UP, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan to participate in the Mahapanchayat. The workers of Bharatiya Kisan Union have also taken with them the manifesto which was released by the BJP government during the elections.

Mahapanchayat will run the whole day

Bharatiya Kisan Union Youth State General Secretary Atul Tripathi, while talking to the media, while listing the shortcomings of the UP government, said that ‘BJP had promised the farmers during the elections in 2022. BJP had said in its manifesto that if BJP government is formed again in UP, then farmers will get free electricity, stray animals will be controlled, seed prices will be reduced and there will be fair payment for sugarcane, but BJP will come back to power. Farmers arriving by rail and private vehicle

Farmers started arriving from Sunday evening to participate in the Mahapanchayat. Thousands of farmers are reaching UP by train, due to which the crowd in the train has increased significantly. The farmers had boarded the Nauchandi Express train. Due to this, dozens of passengers remained at the station. During this period, there was an altercation between farmers and passengers over seats. During this period, farmers also clashed with GRPF and RPF soldiers.

The national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union had said on last Saturday i.e. 16th September that farmers need to unite for their honour. He said that the government is trying to mislead farmers on the purchase of paddy. Tikait further said that farmers do not get benefit just by increasing the price of paddy, it is a collusion between traders, officials and the government.
