After Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, now a major building collapse has happened in Agra as well. Four houses have collapsed during the excavation work at Dharamshala located on Agra City Station Road. People living in these houses have been buried under the debris. Relief and rescue work is going on to evacuate the buried people. Rescue work is also being done by the local people.
Excavation work was going on in the basement of a Dharamshala on Agra City Station Road in Taj Nagri at around 7:30 am today. During this, the surrounding houses suddenly collapsed after overflowing. The explosion was so strong that the sound went far and wide. On getting information about the collapse of the house, the people around reached the spot and also informed the police about the accident. Police and rescue teams have reached the spot after getting information about the accident. Since then people are continuously being pulled out of the debris. So far 3 people have been rescued. Instructions have been given to speed up the relief and rescue work. According to the top police officers who reached the spot, it cannot be said clearly that how many people have become victims of this accident. The death of a four-year-old girl has been confirmed in this accident.
Chief Minister ordered an inquiry
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took complete information about the matter from the District Magistrate of the district and directed to expedite the evacuation of people from the debris. The District Magistrate has given instructions for strict investigation in this matter. The District Magistrate said that action will be taken against whoever is accused in this incident.

This type of matter has also come to the fore two days back. Here a multi-storey building had collapsed in Hazratganj area of Lucknow, due to which about a dozen people were buried under the debris.
