Rajasthan Suicide Case:An undertrial accused lodged in Sriganganagar Central Jail committed suicide on Sunday morning. The accused cut the vein of his hand with a blade due to which he died during treatment due to profuse bleeding. The deceased accused was in jail on charges of drug smuggling. The administration has started investigation after informing the family members about the incident.

An accused lodged under the NDPS Act in the Central Jail of Sri Ganganagar committed suicide by suicide. On Sunday morning around 11 am, he went to the bathroom as usual, but he cut a vein on his hand with a shaving blade. A lot of blood was lost due to the vein being cut. After this incident, he started shouting loudly and the jail staff reached the spot and knocked on the door.

When the accused somehow opened the door, the jail administration was stunned to see him. He was immediately taken to the hospital. Where he died during treatment. He was in jail for the last 26 days on drug smuggling charges.

The deceased undertrial accused Yogendra (40) is a resident of Sadulshahr. He was in jail under the NDPS Act on charges of drug smuggling. At 11 am on Sunday morning, he committed suicide by cutting his veins with a shaving blade. Jail Dr. Shivpreet, seeing his serious condition, admitted him to the government hospital in Sriganganagar.

Police officials said that information about the incident has been given to the relatives of the deceased. The post mortem will be conducted only after the family members reach Sriganganagar. After this the body will be handed over to the family members. An investigation has been started into how the incident happened.
