On behalf of BSF officials, it was said that on August 11, alert BSF jawans noticed suspicious movements of a Pakistani intruder ahead of the border fence in the area falling near the border village-Thekalan. The army challenged the intruder, but he did not stop and kept moving forward. Sensing the situation and danger and to prevent him from moving further, the BSF personnel opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.
Last month, the BSF had killed two unidentified intruders from Pakistan who had entered the Indo-Pak border. Also, some suspicious articles were recovered from them. This also includes narcotics. At the same time, a Pakistani national was also arrested. BSF soldiers have maintained their vigil on the border. Along with this, BSF intercepted 22 drones and seized 316.988 kg of heroin, 67 arms, 850 rounds and more from them. In separate incidents, two Pakistani intruders were killed and 23 Pakistani nationals were captured.
