Punjab Head Constable Murder Case: Police has achieved a big success in the case of murder of Head Constable Darshan Singh in Barnala, Punjab. Police have arrested all four accused. Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav said the case has been solved in less than 24 hours. Yadav said a pistol and two live cartridges were seized from him.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said the arrested accused include Kabaddi player Jagraj Singh Raja Raisar, Gurmeet Singh Cheema and Wazir Singh Amala Singh Wala. While one of the accused Kabaddi player Paramjit Singh Pamma Thikriwala was shot in the encounter, after which he has been admitted to the government hospital in Barnala for treatment.

Know what is the matter

On the night of 22nd October, four Kabaddi players who had come to eat at a restaurant in Barnala had a fight with the restaurant staff over the outstanding bill. The accused were arguing over payment of the bill so the restaurant owner called the police. When the police team reached the spot and tried to solve the matter, the accused attacked them. After this, Head Constable Darshan Singh suffered serious head injury after which he was taken to Barnala Civil Hospital where he died.

The SSP said a police check barrier was set up under Dhanaula police station in Barnala on Monday evening and when a car was signaled to stop, the accused tried to hit the police while trying to escape. However, the car went out of control and Paramjeet opened fire on the police. After this, all the accused were arrested in the encounter.
