Farmer Protest Jalandhar: A big news related to the farmers’ protest on the National Highway in Jalandhar is coming out. The farmers who blocked the railway track near Dhanowal Gate yesterday have started vacating it today. Farmer organizations have taken this decision after receiving invitation for talks from the office of CM Bhagwant Mann. Also, the protesters say that if no solution is found in the meeting, they will block the railway tracks again.

In the letter received from the CMO, it was said that CM Bhagwant Mann has called a meeting to discuss with the farmers. This meeting will be held today at 12 noon. After receiving the letter, farmers have recently vacated the railway track. However, their protest will continue on the National Highway. Farmers have been protesting on Jammu Delhi Highway 44 for the last four days. Yesterday farmers sat on the railway tracks. The railway track remained jammed the whole night. Farmers demand that the price of sugarcane should be increased.

Two days ago, the Chief Minister had appealed to the farmers to vacate the roads and called for talks. Meanwhile, after the time of the meeting was fixed, the farmers have started vacating the railway tracks in Jalandhar and Amritsar and are protesting only by blocking the road.

The Railway Department has also suffered a lot of loss in a day due to farmers sitting on the railway tracks. So far, around 142 trains have been affected, including 130 mail-express trains and 12 local trains. The route of a total of 63 trains has been changed. A total of 51 trains coming to Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar have been cancelled. Apart from this, dozens of trains for Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar have also been cancelled. These trains will run from Ludhiana.
