Punjab Minister Aman Arora: Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora has been sentenced to two years imprisonment by Sangrur’s Sunam Court in a family dispute case. In an important decision, Sunam Court has sentenced 9 people including the Cabinet Minister. The court has sentenced the cabinet minister in the 2008 family feud case. Apart from this, the court has also imposed fine on the accused in this case.

Rajinder Deepa, brother-in-law of Punjab cabinet minister Aman Arora, had filed a complaint in the court in 2008. Rajinder Deepa had complained in the court that Aman Arora and his associates entered her house and beat her up. Regarding this, an FIR was registered against him under IPC 452, IPC 323 and 149 and IPC 148.

Deepa alleges that due to a family dispute, Aman Arora and his associates attacked her. They entered his house and tried to grab the property. Aman Arora’s sister is married to Deepa. A case was also registered against Deepa for attacking Aman Arora, but Deepa was later acquitted of the charges after a police investigation. When the police did not register a case against Aman Arora, the Akali leader directly filed a complaint in the court.

Aman Arora said he had reached a settlement with Deepa, who later backed out and filed a complaint. He said that he has full faith in the judiciary and will approach the higher court for justice. He said that Deepa had beaten him and his sister and mother. He had withdrawn the complaint against Deepa after the agreement.
