Increased crowd in registration offices due to increase in property rates

Bhopal. From April 1, the record hike in 733 locations of the capital will make buying property costlier. With this, more amount will have to be paid for registration. In view of which the buyers of the property are engaged in getting the registry done by March 31. These days the crowd is gathering in the registration offices. Every day 500 to 700 registries are being registered. From April 1, land rates have been increased by 10 percent in 409 locations, 20 percent in 308 locations and 25 percent in 16 locations. Along with this, an increase of 40, 80 and 100 percent has been proposed at many locations. Even on Thursday, a holiday, there was a crowd of registrants in the registration offices located at ISBT, Pari Bazar and Barsia. Till 5 pm, more than 500 registries were done. The new collector guideline for the financial year 2023-24 has been finalized. The Central Evaluation Committee has also approved this hike. The special thing is that the officers presented the data of such registries, where registration has been done at increased rates, but hid the information of those locations where deals are not being done. The reason is that the rates of the lands here have already been wildly hiked by the officers. From which it is clear that the target of the officers is only to increase the rate of the land, whether the property is sold or not.
