Bhopal. The Crime Branch Police has arrested the operator of Dewas’s Paan Gumthi. The bookies of Bhopal used to get him betting through phone-pay. The matter came to light after the arrest of a bookie from Kamala Nagar area.
According to the police, information was received from the informer that in Kamla Nagar area near Harish Chowk Yoga Center, a person is feeding betting slips and betting through mobile. As soon as the information was received, the police laid siege and took into custody Abhijit Singh Rajput (40), a resident of Government Quarter Kotra, who was told by the informer. Satta slip, mobile phone and about Rs 10,000 cash were recovered from the accused. The police started investigation by registering a case under sections of the Satta Act. During interrogation, he told Jagdish alias Mukesh Nayak (43), resident of Etawah police station, civil line, district Dewas, to do online transactions through phone-pay. Mukesh Nayak had absconded since the matter was revealed. So the police started investigation and arrested the accused Mukesh Nayak from Dewas. During interrogation, he told to take bets from Abhijeet Rajput from Bhopal through phone-pay. Police told that the accused is 11th pass and runs a paan gumthi.
