During this, he took a meeting of the officers of the Forest Department and gave necessary guidelines. Along with this, while talking to the media persons, the minister said about the Cheetah project that our officers and our team are continuously monitoring, I myself come here many times to see the situation, everyone is working properly. The Cheetah project was first started in the Kuno National Park, where it will be developed. The Forest Minister said that arrangements have to be made at other places for alternative arrangements, work on this will be done in the second phase.

Death toll of cheetahs in Kuno rises to 23

Last year on September 17, 2022, on Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, eight cheetahs were brought from Namibia and released in Kuno in Madhya Pradesh, whereas, on February 18, another batch of 12 cheetahs were brought to India from South Africa. These 12 cheetahs included seven males and five females. Including all the cheetahs, at present the number of cheetahs in Kuno has increased to 23. which is very worrying
