MP News: Big decision of CM Shivraj, increase in dearness allowance of government servants

Bhopal: The MP cabinet has approved the increase in the rate of Dearness Allowances payable to government servants. Under this, it has been decided to increase the rate of dearness allowance payable to government servants in the seventh pay scale to 42% from January 1, 2023 (paid in February, 2023). While it has been decided to increase the dearness allowance on a proportionate basis in the fourth and fifth pay scales of the government servants working in the sixth pay scale and those working on deputation in the state government of undertakings, corporations, boards and aided institutions.

The cabinet meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A total of 19 proposals were approved in the meeting. An important decision was taken regarding the pending DA of government employees. Although the Chief Minister has already announced this. But now the approval has been received from the cabinet. Under the seventh pay scale of the state government, cash payment will be made from July 1, 2023 (August 2023) on the basis of the total increased rate of 42% dearness allowance to the employees. It was decided to pay the arrear amount from January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023 in 3 equal installments in the months of October, November and December, 2023. An additional estimated expenditure of Rs 1520 crore is expected in the current financial year due to the increase in dearness allowance payable to the employees by 4% from January 1, 2023 and payment of arrears.

Approval of 343 crores under Gram Jyoti Yojana

Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company Limited, Indore, for Deendayal Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), has received a long-term balance loan amount of 343 crore 91 lakhs from REC, on which the interest rate is 9.50 to 10.25 percent, from PNB for the remaining period of the loan of 9 years. Refinance has been done for which the current interest rate is 8 percent. According to this, a saving of about Rs 10 crore 29 lakh is possible. Therefore, a guarantee of Rs 343 crore 91 lakh should be provided for the said loan received from PNB. On the guarantee, the guarantee fee will be given by MP Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company Limited, Indore as per the rules.

Approval of two district offices

Approval has been given to establish two district offices of Deputy Director, Farmers’ Welfare and Agriculture Development and Project Director Atma under the Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department for the newly formed district Niwari. Altogether 19 posts have been sanctioned in both the offices. With this approval, at present the district level office of Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department used to operate from Tikamgarh, which will now be operated from the new district headquarters Niwari, in this case the farmers of Niwari district will get maximum benefits.
