MP ELECTION: Quick resolution of complaints on C-Vigil app, Election Commission active

MP ELECTION:Bhopal. So far 2402 complaints have been received for violation of the Model Code of Conduct in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023. All these complaints have been received through C-Vigil App and all these complaints have been resolved in a prompt time.

Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect from October 9 for the Assembly elections 2023 in the state. C-Vigil app has been prepared by the Election Commission of India to provide quick information about violations of the Model Code of Conduct.

The Chief Electoral Officer said that this app has become active as soon as the Model Code of Conduct came into force. Through the app, any citizen can make any complaint about violation of Model Code of Conduct through photo, video. As soon as the complaint is received, it is being resolved immediately. Rajan said that any citizen can download the app on his Android mobile by visiting Google Play Store.

Let us tell you that due to the effectiveness of the Model Code of Conduct, the police is continuously taking action against arms licenses and explosive materials. There are 2 lakh 85 thousand 379 licensed weapons in the state. Out of which 2 lakh 57 thousand 17 licensed weapons have been deposited so far. Licenses of 576 licensed weapons have been canceled with immediate effect. During the operation so far, 1 thousand 705 illegal weapons, 426 cartridges, 2 thousand 428 explosive substances and 1 bomb have also been found. All these materials have been confiscated. Monitoring is being done through a total of 391 interstate checkpoints and 665 internal checkpoints in the state.
