This fire was so severe that people nearby started vacating their houses and running away. After which the local people immediately informed the police and fire brigade about this incident. After which the fire brigade team reached the spot and worked hard for hours to control the fire. During this time, goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the cinema were burnt to ashes.
The first fire broke out on August 7.

Even then, the chairs and other items lying in the talkies were burnt to ashes. The fire is said to have started in the garbage of the old restaurant located on the first floor of Talkies.
