Vidisha, Even though drinking of liquor outside home has been banned in the new liquor policy in Madhya Pradesh, drug addicts have not been curbed. The efforts of the police and excise department are proving unsuccessful. Everyday drug addicts are creating havoc by drinking alcohol. A similar case has come to light in Vidisha, where a youth pelted stones after drinking alcohol, which created chaos in the area.
The matter is said to be of Sanwaria Seth Colony of Bunty Nagar. Here there was a huge dispute between a drug addict youth and the shopkeeper regarding loan at the grocery shop. This drunk youth created a ruckus for a long time, due to which there was stone pelting between the two parties for half an hour. After some time, the Civil Lines police reached the spot and took both the parties to the police station. After reaching the police station, the drug addict lost his intoxication in front of the police. Later, instead of complaining against each other, both the parties talked about resolving the matter amongst themselves. The police gave instructions to both the parties and left them.
