Damoh. Two women have died due to high tension line collapse in a village in the district. Angered by the incident, the family members today staged a protest in front of the electricity office and also blocked the Hata-Panna highway and demanded action against those responsible. It has been told that the line was very low and a complaint was made to the electricity department. But the department did not pay any attention to this, as a result of which two lives have been lost today.

Information has come to light that two women, 45-year-old Suhagrani Yadav and 30-year-old Pinky Yadav, were cutting grass in the field next to their own house when this accident occurred. The matter is being reported from Bhidari village of Hata police station area. The relatives of the women who died in the incident have accused the electricity workers and said that the wire in their field had become weak for many days. The wire was always hanging very low. The family members had informed the electricity department due to fear of electrocution. But even after the information, the electricity employees did not take any action in the matter, as a result of which these two women had to lose their lives today.

What actually happened was that both the women were cutting grass in the field. One of which was a woman just below the wire. The wire moved due to the wind and fell directly on the woman. The woman started screaming and writhing in agony due to the current. Seeing the first woman suffering like this, the second woman went near to save her and she also got caught in the current of the high tension line. Both women were electrocuted, which was witnessed by a girl. The girl immediately went to the sister-in-law of one of the two women and informed about the electrocution. Sister-in-law told the family and then informed the electricity department about this incident. Asked to turn off the lights. Even at this time the people of the electricity department did not pick up the phone. After several attempts the phone was picked up and the lights were switched off. After the lights were switched off, the bodies of the women were separated with wire. Therefore, the anger of the family members flared up and they staged a dharna at the electricity department along with road jam.

After the news of traffic jam on Hata-Panna highway, Hata Tehsildar Umesh Tiwari SDOP Nitesh Patel and TI Manish Mishra reached the spot along with the police force. Where everyone explained to the protesting family members and started appealing to stop the protest. Public representatives like Congress leader Pradeep Khatik, Block Congress President Ghanshyam Yadav, former MLA Uma Devi Khatik etc. had also reached among the protesters. All of them discussed the incident with family members and administration officials. Also demanded an investigation into the matter. Ultimately the officials assured the family members of action and appropriate compensation from the government, after which the family members stopped the protest. The police opened the traffic jam and restored the traffic and both the bodies were sent to the hospital.
