Child kidnapped Malwa Express:The 2-month-old son of a couple from Chhatarpur, who were going to Jhansi after visiting Vaishno Devi, was kidnapped from the Malwa Express train on the night of April 6. When the couple woke up at 2.30 in the night in Dabra, the child was not on the seat. The couple complained to Gwalior GRP police station on April 7. The police registered a case of kidnapping and informed all the police stations. Two days later (April 8), a couple handed over their child to Indore GRP. The couple told the GRP that they had found the child abandoned on the upper berth in the sleeper coach of Malwa Express. On receiving information, Chhatarpur couple reached Indore on Wednesday and GRP handed over the child to them. The police are still investigating the entire matter.

Know the whole incident, when, where, how the child went missing
Umesh Kumar Ahirwar (27), resident of Rajpura of Satai police station of Chhatarpur, along with his wife Sukhwati (25) and son Naman (2 months) had gone to Jammu Katra on April 2 to visit Vaishno Devi. Were returning by Malwa Express train (12920) on 5th April. Berth numbers 13 and 14 were reserved in S-2 coach. The wife suffered stomach pain at night. After giving medicine, his wife was made to sleep on berth number 13 at 11 pm. The son was also lying with his wife. Umesh slept on seat number 14. When I woke up at 2.30 in the train running between Gwalior to Dabra, the child was not on the seat. On April 7, Umesh informed Gwalior GRP about the child’s disappearance.

On Umesh’s complaint, Gwalior GRP registered a case of kidnapping and sent information to all the police stations. On April 8, a couple traveling in Malwa Express found a child. The couple first asked people in the train whose child it was. When no one came forward, the couple handed over the child to Indore GRP. The couple told Indore GRP that they found the child abandoned on the upper berth in Malwa Express. On receiving information about the discovery of the child, the Chhatarpur couple reached Indore on Wednesday to collect their child and the GRP handed over the child to them. The police is investigating the entire matter. Only after investigation will it be known how much truth is there in the complainant’s statement.
