The accused learned the art of fraud from YouTube
During police interrogation, mastermind accused Ranjan Chaubey has revealed a surprising thing. The accused told the police that he learned how to create fake websites, buy source codes online and transact money in fake accounts from YouTube. The accused also told that he used to use fake SIM of UP to commit the fraud. Also got a fake credit card made from the darkweb.
Police caught the accused within two weeks
According to the police, the matter of making fake voter ID, Aadhar and PAN cards had come to the notice of the Central Election Commission. The Commission had sent the complaint to the Chief Electoral Officers of all the states. Following the complaint, the Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh had lodged a complaint with the Cyber Police. After which the state cyber police came into action. Cyber ADG Yogesh Deshmukh said that as soon as the complaint was received, the crime was registered and taken up for investigation. The accused was arrested within two weeks.
Police issued advisory
After arresting the vicious accused, the cyber police has issued an advisory and appealed to the people to remain alert. Police said that to print your voter, Aadhaar and PAN card, use the authorized website. While making this card, follow the procedure authorized by the government. Do not create or use any fake ID on the internet.
