News2News.in Bhopal News:Immediately after the consumer applies online for a new electricity connection, the lineman of the electricity company will reach the consumer’s house with the meter. After online application, an SMS will come to the consumer. After this, after completing all the formalities by the power company, taking action on the application, the lineman will reach the consumer’s house on behalf of the company. Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey said this on Thursday at the Power Distribution Training Center located in Govindpura of Central Region Power Distribution Company. Said in the annual brainstorming program organized in the auditorium. He was addressing field officers of 16 districts of Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions.
He said that the existing online system of giving new electricity connections to the consumers is being upgraded and simplified. After the application, a fee will be charged for the facility of installation of service cable up to the meter distance from the electricity pole to the consumer’s house.
Meters should be installed fast in Anganwadi and schools
The Principal Secretary instructed the officials of the power company that electricity connections should be made in Jal-Jeevan Mission, Anganwadis and schools without any delay. Strict action will be taken against those found guilty of any laxity at any level in releasing these connections. The Principal Secretary directed that power sub-stations, 33 KV lines, 11 KV lines, LT lines and transformers should be maintained effectively before the onset of monsoon. Due to which the power interruption in urban and rural areas is minimized.
Increase the efficiency of transformers
The Principal Secretary said that the places where transformers have failed more than once. By identifying those places, the capacity of the transformers there should be increased. All safety equipment should be provided to the power linemen. Perform power correction work with lineman safety equipment. Strict action will be taken against the errant officials who are negligent in case of any electrical accident involving the linemen. Instructions were also given to improve billing efficiency and revenue collection efficiency. Defective and burnt meters should be replaced by running a campaign under any circumstances. There should not be a single defective or burnt meter in urban areas.
