Bhopal:In New Minal Residency, Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal, two women who reached the house of a female lecturer on the pretext of working, stole jewelery worth lakhs of rupees from the cupboard. The women talked about drinking tea. When the lecturer went to make tea, the women stole jewelery from the first floor cupboard.

According to the police, Dr. Vandana Gandhi, a resident of New Minal Residency, is a lecturer in Raisen. Her husband Dr. Santosh Gandhi is an officer in a department of the ministry. The Gandhis live alone here while their children are in Delhi. The Gandhi couple had gone out of town for three to four days. They returned on Sunday. Since then the house was lying in disarray. He had called two maids to work on Monday. So on Monday morning at around ten o’clock two women reached the Gandhi couple’s house for work and started cleaning the house.

Meanwhile, Santosh Gandhi went on duty at around 10.30 am. Dr. Vandana Gandhi was alone in the house. The lecturer had called both the women on trial work. He says that if he likes the work, he will regularize it. Meanwhile, both the women expressed their desire to have tea with Dr. Vandana Gandhi. So she went to the kitchen to make tea. At the same time, a woman went to the upper room and opened the cupboard and stole gold jewelery worth lakhs of rupees. After some time, both the women ran away on the pretext of coming back fresh. When the women did not return even after a long time, Dr. Gandhi got suspicious. On going upstairs, the cupboard was found open and the jewelery kept in it was missing. However, the police have registered an FIR.
