Giving information, the SI posted at Kolar police station said that the victim Prithviraj Verma, aged 77 years, is retired as an officer from a bank. He is a resident of 98 Palace Achand North Phase-3, Kolar. After the incident of cheating, he reached the police station and complained to the police that this incident happened to him on January 27, 2023. The accused had transferred Rs 25,000 from the victim’s account by taking the OTP of the message received on his mobile. The complainant had complained to the cyber police in this regard. This case has now also been sent to Kolar police station. Kolar police has registered a case of cheating against unknown accused.
