Congress MP Geeta Koda Joins BJP: Congress has suffered a big setback in Jharkhand. The party’s lone MP Geeta Koda resigned. On Monday he joined BJP in Ranchi. She is the wife of former Chief Minister Madhu Koda. State party chief Babulal Marandi gave him membership of BJP.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP and its allies won 12 out of 14 seats in Jharkhand. Geeta Koda had won from Singhbhum Lok Sabha seat. Geeta was reportedly unhappy with the alliance formed by the Congress in the state. He has sent his resignation to the party high command. It is believed that his resignation before the Lok Sabha elections will cause a big loss to the party.

Babulal Marandi asked- Does INDI alliance exist?
BJP leader Babulal Marandi sarcastically asked whether INDI alliance exists? He called this group of opposition parties a conference of corrupt people. Referring to Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal’s recent steps of not forging an alliance with the Congress in West Bengal and Punjab, Marandi said India’s alliance does not exist and will not exist in the future. Mamta Banerjee is saying that she will not give any seat to Left and Congress in West Bengal. Arvind Kejriwal has also made his stand clear on Punjab and Haryana and said that he will not do seat sharing.
Marandi said that the INDI alliance is just a mix of corrupt people. They are so scared of PM Modi that they want to keep themselves safe by any means. But his character and past are known to the public.
Claim to win all seats of Jharkhand
Asked about BJP’s performance in Jharkhand in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Marandi said that last time the NDA alliance had won 12 seats. We missed out on winning two seats. This time we are going to win those two seats also.
Hemant Soren arrested due to his actions
Talking about the arrest of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case related to the alleged land scam, Marandi took a dig at him. He was arrested because of his deeds.
Marandi said that Hemant Soren was arrested because of his deeds. There is a saying, ‘You reap what you sow.’ He was looting the state for the last four years. The government was run by corrupt officials and middlemen. I kept writing to the government about the lapses in various projects. However, he did not pay any attention to it. Gradually he had to leave the post of Chief Minister and go behind the bars.
