Actually, a Spanish woman of Brazilian origin has reached India with her husband. Both are bikers. About five years ago a Spanish couple set out on a world tour by bike. After traveling to 63 countries and 170,000 kilometers, he was staying in Dumka, about 300 kilometers away from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, where the incident took place. The 28-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by seven men when she was spending the night in a makeshift tent with her partner.
The couple, who reached Dumka via Bangladesh, had to reach Nepal via Bihar. Police have arrested 4 accused. Three other accused have been identified. Police claim that they will also be caught soon. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed for the investigation.
Dumka Superintendent of Police Pitambar Singh Kherwar said that the victim and her husband are currently undergoing treatment at Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital in Dumka. Although both are out of danger.
