Weather information: It is getting cold in most of the states of North India. The effect of continuous snowfall in hilly areas is being seen in many plains including Delhi, UP, Haryana. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain. According to the Meteorological Department, rain can be seen on the 22nd in the surrounding plains including Delhi.
According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance is going to occur in Northwest India from 21st to 25th, due to which there is a possibility of snowfall in the hilly areas and rain in the plains. The effect of western disturbance can be seen till eastern Uttar Pradesh. According to IMD, on January 24 and 25, strong winds with a speed of 50 km per hour can blow in many areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Due to the Western Disturbance, the impact of the ongoing cold wave can be seen in North India. According to the Meteorological Department, the states of North India can get relief from cold wave from January 19. However, this fresh Western Disturbance may result in light snowfall over the mountains.
According to the Meteorological Department, the outbreak of cold will continue during the next 24 hours. At the same time, there may be dangerous cold in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh for the next two days. Whereas, severe cold wave can be seen in some areas of Haryana including Delhi.
According to the Meteorological Department, it has not rained in Delhi-NCR so far this season. If it rains due to the new Western Disturbance, it will bring relief from pollution in Delhi. Along with this, it will also benefit the surrounding rural areas. At the same time, there is continuous heavy snowfall in the upper reaches of Kashmir. Due to which about 6 feet of snow has accumulated in Kupwara in North Kashmir.
