What did the security forces tell on the encounter
Giving information about the matter, security officials said that alert troops in Degwar sector of the district noticed the movement of some terrorists trying to enter this side in the early hours of this morning and an encounter started with them. During this exchange of fire, one terrorist was killed and the other also received bullet injuries. He was trying to run towards the LoC. However, the security forces have cordoned off the entire area.
Second infiltration attempt in 24 hours
This is the second infiltration attempt on the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours. A terrorist was killed after security forces foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Kupwara district on Sunday, police officials said. A joint cordon and search operation was launched by police and army in Dakhen-Amrohi area of Tangdhar sector of Kupwara.

It was also told on behalf of the police officer that during the search operation, the movement of terrorists trying to infiltrate our border was seen. After this, an encounter started between the terrorist and the joint forces, in which a terrorist was killed. He said that taking advantage of the thick bushes and rough terrain, two to three other terrorists went back towards the Line of Control and reached Pakistan. The terrorist killed in the encounter was a Pakistani national.
