Fatehabad: Raghav Batra, a private school principal in the city, committed suicide by shooting himself. Raghav Batra’s body was found in the car near DAV School. It is said that Raghav committed suicide by shooting himself with a licensed revolver. As soon as information about it was received, the police team reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem. According to the information received, Raghav Batra, a resident of Model Town, used to run a school called Seema Sanskar on Bhattu Road in the city. Along with him, his father Vedprakash Batra also helped in running the school. He had a dispute with his father over the running of the school. Vedprakash Batra wanted to hand over the responsibility of running the school to his daughter along with Raghav, while Raghav himself wanted to run the school alone. A panchayat was also held on this dispute a few days ago. On Thursday a car was parked near the DAV school. When some children saw blood in the car, they told their families. The police were later informed about this. As soon as the police team reached the spot after receiving information, the deceased was identified as Raghav Batra.
Elderly man dies from electrocution
An elderly man named Mahavir Prasad Sharma, around 66 years old, died due to electrocution in Khampura village in Narnaul. Although his family took him to Narnaul for treatment after he was electrocuted, he could not survive and doctors declared him dead. After receiving the information, the police arrived at the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The police are investigating the matter.
