Mahesh Kumar / Mahendragarh, Despite the state government’s emphasis on skills development, the health of private ITIs is very poor compared to government ITIs. Even after the four-stage admissions process, more than 60 percent of the seats in the district’s private ITIs are vacant. It is believed that the reason seats remain vacant in private ITIs is due to high fees and lack of resources.

We would like to inform you that the application process for the Industrial Training Institute started on June 1st. The deadline for applications was set by the department for June 21, but the Industrial Training Institute received fewer applications than expected during this period. As a result, the application deadline was extended by the department. After the four-stage admissions process, there were still vacancies in most institutes. With this in mind, the schedule for the fifth consultation was issued by the Department of Skills Development and Industrial Training in Haryana. As part of the fifth consultation, admission should take place on site at the institute. At the same time, new applicants were given a chance. August 25 was set as the last date after the fifth consultation. Despite this, the seat in the Industrial Training Institute remained vacant. In view of the vacant seats, the department extended the deadline to August 31. The State Industrial Training Institute is expected to fill the seats, but more than 50 percent of the seats are likely to remain vacant in private ITIs.

free seat position

The State Women’s Industrial Training Institute has 204 seats. So far 177 places have been allocated. There are currently 27 vacancies at the institute. Of the 644 seats in the State Institute for Industrial Training of Women, 556 seats were admitted and there are still 88 seats vacant in the institute. In addition, 156 out of 220 seats in the Government Women’s Industrial Training Institute, Malda Bass, have been approved and 64 seats remain vacant. While 842 seats remain vacant out of 1354 seats in 16 private ITIs in the district.

A dozen private ITIs have been shut down

About a dozen private ITIs have been closed in Mahendragarh district in the past three years. The reason for this is assumed to be the lower enrollment of students. At the same time, students believe that after completing a course at private IITs, an internship in a good company is not possible, whereas an internship during training at state ITIs is possible. There is a large number of young people in the district who have obtained certificates from private ITIs but are unable to find employment.

Private institutes charge higher fees

Harshvardhan Sharma, head of the State Women’s Industrial Training Institute, said the annual fee in private institutions is about Rs 25,000, but in state ITIs various programs have been implemented by the state government to encourage skills development. Students receive an internship in good companies directly at the institute.
