News2News.in news. Fatehabad. On Sunday, Fatehabad police conducted a special operation to arrest liquor smugglers. As part of this campaign, police arrested 15 people, including one woman.
According to information received, a young man was seen coming from Uklana on a motorcycle when the Bhuna police team reached the bus stand in Saniana during patrol. The said youth got scared when he saw the police team in front of him and started escaping by turning the motorcycle back. Based on suspicion, the police team tracked him and arrested him. When police questioned the youth, he gave his name as Abhishek, a resident of Gangwa Hall village Saniyana. When the police searched him, 12 bottles of country liquor were seized from him. Furthermore, Bhattukalan police, while on patrol near Pilimandauri village, arrested a young Chhoturam resident of Pilimandauri and seized 12 bottles of local liquor from him.
The Ratia police have arrested Happy Chand, a resident of Kamana on the Kamana village-Kanwalgarh road, with 14 bottles of liquor and Naib Singh, an egg seller in Kamana, with 13 bottles of liquor. Tohana police have arrested Gurdeep Singh of New Model Town Tohana with 12 bottles, Deepak Kumar of Ravidas Mohalla Tohana with 12 bottles of liquor, Karnail Singh of Lohakheda with 350 liters of liquor and Baljeet alias Balla of Lohakheda with 45 bottles of country liquor. Jakhal police arrested Jagwant Singh alias Kuku from Myond Khurd with 42 bottles of illegal liquor, Sadar Fatehabad police arrested Manjeet Singh from Bhirdana with 13 bottles, Hoshiar Singh from Bhuthankalan with 13 bottles and Sarvjit Singh alias Ladi from Dhani Hijrawan Kalan with 4 Bottles of illegal liquor, Virendra Singh alias Bindra, resident of Majra, 27 bottles of liquor seized.
Sadar Ratia police arrested a woman named Mahmadgi from Kanta and seized 24 bottles of country liquor from her and Mohan Lal alias Moni from Baliala with 12 bottles of liquor. Sadar Tohana police have recovered 18 bottles of liquor from Ranjit Singh, a resident of Thakur Mohalla, Kulan. Criminal charges were filed against all persons in the respective police stations under the Excise Tax Act.
