Rohtak. The Bahnbetriebswerk will only get 10 new buses in April. These buses are finished in Gurugram and will be painted on these buses. As soon as the work is completed, the buses will be made ready to drive at the depot. As soon as these buses are available to the depot, these buses will be used on long-distance routes and the long-distance buses will be discontinued for local routes. Due to the lack of buses, some buses of many interstate routes in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab are closed, while rural routes are also severely affected. Passengers do not get buses on time. The most difficult are Sonipat, Delhi, Karnal and Hisar on the route. The number of buses on these routes is smaller.

If the number of buses increases, there is the possibility of using special buses for female students. However, for the convenience of female students, five pink buses were also added to the depot in 2020. But these were special minibuses for students. After that, no new buses have arrived at the depot, while more than 40 buses have been ordered to be demolished.

There are fewer buses in the depot

Significantly, around 185 buses are on the move in the depot. According to Rohtak residents, there are very few buses and the work is being carried out by the Roads Administration. For this reason, the benefit of the road bus service is not available on rural routes. At the same time, many lines are closed due to the lack of buses. The depot needs to get 40 buses, but now 8 new buses have arrived and 10 new ones are being accepted.

40 buses condom in two years

More than 40 buses were convicted in two years. The government announced last year that 800 new buses would be added to the fleet, after which the procurement process continued, but so far the buses have not been able to enter the depot. But in the month of March the depot received 8 new buses and now 10 new buses will arrive at the depot in the next 10 days.

After new buses there will be 195 buses in the depot

There are currently 185 buses in the depot. 146 buses are operated under the general scheme and 56 buses under the kilometer scheme, while more than 200 buses are needed in Rohtak. After purchasing 10 new buses, their number will increase to 195.

Better transportation options will be available

For the convenience of passengers, 8 new buses arrived at the depot in March and 10 new buses will be available in the first week of April. These buses are used on long routes. With the expansion of the depot by 10 buses, passengers have better transport options. – Sarendra Siwach, Workshop Manager, Streets
