Rohtak: The Directorate of Urban Local Bodies has given green signal to allot shops to the affected shopkeepers of Gandhi Camp at Swami Dayanand Market at Power House. In the first phase, the shops will now be allotted to 37 shopkeepers, but they will be allotted shops only at the rate of Rs 1 lakh per square meter. The shop owners affected by this are very satisfied.

The government had earlier fixed a rate of Rs 2 lakh 40,000 per square meter to provide shops at the power plant to the shopkeepers of Gandhi Camp affected by the construction of an elevated railway line. In this, Prime Minister Manohar Lal decided to give a discount of Rs 40,000 per square meter. When land is acquired by the municipality, shop owners will get compensation of Rs 1 lakh per square meter. In this way, all affected shop owners will have to deposit Rs 1 lakh per square meter with the municipal corporation. For example, if there is a 12 yard shop, they have to deposit Rs 12 lakh and if there is an 18 yard shop, they have to deposit Rs 18 lakh. The market created by the government for the affected shopkeepers is located on Delhi Road and its value will increase manifold in the coming period.

The government has given the green signal for the draw to allot shops to 37 affected shopkeepers in the first phase. After this, the remaining 39 shopkeepers will be allotted shops in the second phase. All the shops will be owned by the shopkeepers, so the state government has created a market for them keeping in mind the interests of the shopkeepers. He urged all shopkeepers to participate in the draw and not to be misled by politicians from the opposition party. The state government has given them a good place by setting up a new market. Move forward while thinking about your future.

The cost was around 22 Crores Rupees.

The project to set up shops on the Power House premises on Delhi Road has cost around Rs 22 crore. Of this, construction of all the shops cost Rs 5 million (Rs 9 lakh), while in the case of land transfer, Rs 16 million (Rs 80 lakh) was borne by the government.
