Rewari: The fast track court sentenced two accused of raping two minor girls to twenty years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000 each. If the fine is not paid, the perpetrators face additional penalties. A man accused of gang rape was acquitted by the court due to lack of evidence.

The Kosli police had filed a rape case against two youths in June 2021 after they abducted a minor girl from a village in Kosli area. After the two defendants were arrested, the police presented the case to the ADJ court. The bench of ASJ Lokesh Gupta of the Fast Track Court convicted Rupesh, a resident of Kosli, based on the evidence presented by the police and statements of witnesses. One of his employees was acquitted by the court. The court sentenced Rupesh to 20 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000. In another case, on the complaint of the minor girl’s father, the Rampura police station had registered a case against a youth named Devraj for kidnapping his daughter and making her a victim of lust. In this fast-track case, the court found accused Devraj guilty and sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000. If they don’t pay the fine, they face additional prison sentences.
