Police caught Rs 75 lakh worth of opium and brought it from Rajasthan to Trala

Hisar. Police anti-narcotics team seized 18 kg 690 grams of opium. In this case, the police took possession of the confiscated opium and trolley and registered a case against Gyanchand, a resident of Digri district, Jodhpur (Rajasthan), under the NDPS law in Thana Sadar Hisar. The value of the recovered opium is said to be around 75,000 rupees.

ASI Shakti Singh of the team said the police team was deployed during Operation Invasion in Sectors 27-28 while on patrol. Information has been received that Gyan Chand, a resident of Digri district, Jodhpur (Rajasthan), has brought opium from Rajasthan in his shopping trolley and is standing at the JSL factory to bottle the goods. As the team reached the gate of the JSL factory without delay, a trolley was reportedly seen standing. Seeing the police team in front of him, one person got out of the cab of the car and ran away. The police team gave chase, but he managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness.

When the police team inquired at the front gate of the Jindal factory, it was revealed that the name of the driver of the car matched the name of the Gyanchand resident of Digari village, Jodhpur district, Rajasthan. The search found 20 packages in the Trala taped to the cab ceiling behind the driver’s seat with clear tape. His tape was uprooted and checked, then 20 packets of opium were seized. Their total weight was 18 kg 690 grams.
